Your contribution helps us provide our services to more children across the Illinois Capital Region every year. Our events are a great way to have fun, share our mission with friends, and get inspired by our amazing Bigs and Littles!

You’re invited to join us for some of the most creative and entertaining charity events in the Illinois Capital Region. Whether you like to hit the green, relax with friends, or bowl, you’re sure to have a fantastic time as you support Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Bowler?  Golfer?   Life of the party?   No matter what you're in to, you can be a part of one of our events. Think about becoming a bowler, sponsor, supporting a bowler, donating an auction item, putting together a golf foursome or joining one of our committees.  There truly is something for everyone, all are welcome to participate and join the fun for a great cause!

Bowl for Kids’ Sake

Hit the lanes and start bowling strikes for this annual event to help raise money for Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Bowl for Kids' Sake (BFKS) is our signature event and has continued to grow each year. The dollars raised for this event allow us to provide mentoring services to children across Sangamon, Christian, Macoupin, Montgomery, Logan  Counties.

New to the Bowl for Kids' Sake concept?  It is exactly what it sounds like.  An evening of bowling with friends, family and/or co-workers to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Illinois Capital Region. 

Here's how you can help!

  • Be a team captain
  • Rally your network to join you 
  • Set a goal to raise at least $500 per team
  • Show up
  • Bowl for 2 hours and enjoy pizza, beverages, door prizes and more (all included with your $500 team donation)
  • Feel great as you leave the event knowing you made a big difference and helped support mentoring in your community

The BIG Swing

Join us for a day of golf and supporting mentoring at the Illini Country Club Golf Course.

Big Brothers Big Sisters' Annual BIG Swing raises money each year to help support children in the Springfield area. This year's event will be held at The Rail Golf Course 
START SOMETHING!

Enjoy a fantastic round of golf, great food and lots of fun, all while supporting BBBSICR! Golfer registration includes:

  • driving range
  • greens fee (scramble format)
  • on-course games
  • beverages throughout the day
  • lunch and dinner

In 2016,  100 more children were matched with mentors because of the generous sponsorships from last year's event.

Casual for a Cause

Companies support Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Illinois Capital Region by offering to host a Jeans Day for Big Brothers Big Sisters on specified dates.

District 186 has already hosted this type of event helping to support kids in our community!
